Stagecoach in Mansfield is the sector of the Stagecoach Group that operates buses in Mansfield. They have 80 buses and 230 employees.
   They carry over 6 million passengers per year, a passenger increase of approximately 7%.
   As well as Mansfield, they also operate certain buses to Chesterfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Bolsover, Eckington, Sheffield, Langwith, Edwinstowe and Newark-on-Trent.
   Although most routes operate all week, some routes don't operate on Sundays, and some routes only operate on Sundays. On bank holidays, a Sunday service is operated.

Routes

  • Service 33 is operated by Stagecoach in Bassetlaw.
  • Service 81 is operated by Stagecoach in Chesterfield.

    Vehicles

    Stagecoach in Mansfield has a fairly wide variety of vehicles based at the Sutton Road garage. The fleet mainly consists of Volvo Olympians and Dennis Darts. However there are also other vehicles including Leyland Olympians. The Olympians have a mixture of Northern Counties and Alexander bodies. Stagecoach in Mansfield also has 3 Dennis Tridents which operate on the 23 'Shireline' service. The fleet also has 3 Volvo B10M/Alexander's which generally act as spare vehicles that can be found on most routes. There are also 4 coaches based at the garage.
       As of 17th April 2008, Stagecoach Mansfield have acquired two Dennis Tridents from Stagecoach in Manhester. These two Transbus Dennis Tridents are part of the 18xxx numbering system and have the registrations MX53 XXX.

    Tickets

    There are three different tyes of rover tickets available from Stagecoach in Mansfield. They offer a dayrider for travel within the Mansfield area which costs £3.80 and then they also offer two different week tickets. There is the Megarider which is valid for 7 days and costs £8.50. The Megarider is valid within Mansfield's inner zone covering such areas such as West Notts College, Sutton, Pleasley, Mansfield Woodhouse, Forest Town, Oak Tree and Bellamy Road. The megarider works out at £1.20 a day. There is also the Megarider plus. This ticket is priced at £10.50 and is valid for 7 days. It covers such areas as Clipstone, Shirebrook, New Houghton, Glapwell, Blidworth, Rainworth and Huthwaite. Plus the new Explorer ticket priced at £5.00 this ticket will permit travel for 1 day on all Stagecoach buses and trams in South and West Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The Explorer in not accepted on the Pronto Chesterfield-Nottingham service, Stagecoach in Hull route X62 Leeds-Hull and all services operated by Stagecoach Manchester. Then you got the £17.00 Megarider Gold which will allow unlimited travel anywhere in South and West Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire on any Stagecoach bus or tram but not available for travel on Service X62 Leeds-Hull or services operated by Stagecoach Manchester.
